Training course in Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy: what is it and what does the Yoga therapist do?

For years, the figure of the Yoga therapist has been increasingly defined, although it can be challenging to sustain this kind of title in a context like the Italian one, where the use of words like therapy or therapist is exclusive to the medical sector. Yoga, however, has been officially included among Body Mind Techniques and is considered a genuine complementary therapeutic technique, although not a substitute, for conventional medical and pharmacological treatments.

The healing power of some disciplines cannot be denied or underestimated, so ancient that they are considered true sciences, as their extreme effectiveness, their versatility, and the almost absence of side effects have been proven through centuries of experimentation.
Becoming a Yoga therapist means transmitting the great potential of this practice, which is not only meditative but also used for injury prevention or, in the athletic/sports world, for physical recovery after any forced athlete downtime. Yoga Therapy increases flexibility, strengthens muscles, improves agility, reinforces the nervous system, improves lymphatic and blood circulation, and increases concentration.

Becoming a Yoga therapy teacher means being able to correctly guide your students and modify the asanas during practice, based on the health conditions of each practitioner. Only a qualified teacher can explain and demonstrate how to perform the positions correctly, reducing pain and speeding up the healing of the affected body part, and to do so, taking an in-depth course is essential.

Yoga therapy: the Holismos training course

The Yoga Therapy training course is divided into two parts, each amounting to 50 hours of face-to-face lessons, to be attended during two intensive seminars each lasting one week.

Residential In-depth Modules
All modules are residential with variable lengths from three to 6 days. A minimal part will take place online. At the end of each module, a corresponding participation certificate will be issued. The examination for the qualification of operator in yoga therapy and integrated medicine will be proposed upon reaching a minimum of 300 hours of training.
