300h YOGA THERAPY AND INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE
Rishikesh – India
2 September – 1 October 2023
The Sanskrit term for therapy found in much medical literature is that of Chikitsa, which refers to the application of consciousness (chit) or taking care. The Yoga Therapy is therefore defined as Yoga Chikitsa. Be that as it may, chikitsa does not appear so frequently in the numerous texts of the yoga traditions. In these writings, the disease comes mostly defined as one of the obstacles we may encounter during our path of life and practice. The disease is not treated from a medical perspective, as yoga practice does not have as its goal the primary cure of diseases, but rather the spiritual development of the person.
It is in this context that our 300h “Yoga Therapy and Integrative Medicine” Course was created: this is a school where we actively promote an intensive journey into the science of classical Hatha yoga, emphasizing its all-round ability to promote health, integrating into this path, some of the most important and effective aspects deriving from Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, Shiatsu, and Kinesiology.
Our Teachers have many years of experience in the teachings of yoga; they are also qualified in Yoga Therapy and experienced in different healing arts. This experience in healing is derived directly from the vast clinical experience acquired thanks to having treated thousands and thousands of people, accompanying them in their delicate healing process. For years we have been experimenting with our customers an integrated treatment model which uses Ayurveda, Shiatsu, kinesiology alongside Hatha Yoga and Pranayama, with increasingly encouraging results.
Today we propose this operational model to all teachers, practitioners, healers, and yoga lovers, with a keen interest in health promotion, in learning and personal growth. This 300-hour Yoga Therapy Course consists of a 4-week intensive journey in healing through the exploration of the subtleties of the asanas, their energetic links with the chakras, the Chinese acupuncture meridians as well as modern anatomy, physiology, and Yogic psychology.
You will also learn how to evaluate your patient’s health using various methods of palpation as well as observation of posture and structural evaluation, listening skills, taking detailed case histories and interpreting the signs and symptoms of imbalance and disease.
